I’d always heard about the wild yoga fun to be had at a Wanderlust festival. But I never really took the energy to attend due to the distance. This time the Wanderlust festival happened 10 minutes away from my house at the DC Armory in Southeast, making it easy for me to experience a sample of the Wanderlust brand.

The schedule kept us moving.
The Wanderlust 108 Festival touched down in DC to honor National Yoga Month. Over 500 people bounced to the breath of healing vibes led by DJ Drez and MC Yogi and an asana practice led by Ariele Foster. The festival consisted of a “yoga triathlon” with a 5K, an asana practice and a meditation. DJ Drez surprised me with a soulful musical vibration and MC Yogi taught an amazing asana practice by connecting the crowd to the theme of peace and love.

I snacked on some Go Raw wafers in between yoga sessions.
Being Mindful was the mantra for Resource Water.
After dancing, I surveyed the vendors whom all shared a value for the holistic and environmentally conscious consumer.
Spiritual Gangster is a clothing brand focused on yoga themed t-shirts.
Prunes are now called Dried Plums! But Sunsweet’s Plum juice is delicious!
The best part of Wanderlust was that it felt inclusive and welcoming. Everyone was very friendly, light hearted and sharing in their space to explore yoga edge in a group environment. Wanderlust holds both one day and four-day events around the world.
