We saw the best and worst of people when word broke about The Calvary Women’s Services’ plan to build a homeless shelter at the corner of Good Hope Road SE and MLK Jr. Avenue. “Don’t we have enough social services East of the River?” Would this ever happen in downtown U Street during the revitalization?” or “Ward 8 gets dumped on again”
