Every ward in Washington, DC knows all too well the grim statistics on HIV transmission within the district. But Wards 7 and 8 are tackling the issue head on with a gospel infused celebration called D2D (Dare 2 make a Difference)Community Day at the East River Shopping Center on 3900 Minnesota Avenue NE.
The goal is to encourage DC residents to get tested and know their HIV/AIDS status. This is FREE for the entire family with activities for children and seniors, food, and much more.
The 6th Annual D2D (Dare 2 make a Difference) Community Day will take place from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at East River Shopping Center, located at 3900 Minnesota Avenue, NE, Washington DC.
For more information about the event, please call Director of Communications, Rosie Parke at 301-395-1013.
