From Passion to Profit

Can your passion be profitable? Do you dream of leaving the cubicle to pursue your heart’s desires? I realized I wanted to turn my wellness knowledge into a business in 2009 when I first started Anacostia Yogi.
Teaching yoga was my passion, but could it be a profit?
Moving from an activist to a business woman was easy.
I realized I can create more jobs, help families and change lives by starting a business to help stressed out black women.
Selling my passion is NOT easy.
I have faced setbacks with finances, loss of support and even personal health issues that brought my business to a halt.
Yet something deep down tells me to keep going.
Perseverance is finally paying off. I have created my most passionate project to date, the Soulful Flow Yoga DVD. This DVD is designed for black women who are first time yogis.
